Come play with clay and make your own wheel thrown pottery. No previous experience is necessary.

After explanation and demonstration, you will create pottery, which I will kiln fire after class to the bisque state. Friday - All-day Classes

Name: Esmee Witch

Instructor: Winifred Holloway [email protected]

Cost: $85

Scale: 1″

In this class, you will receive an ivory porcelain 3½″ dollie with painted stockings and shoes. Then you will make her a dress and underskirt in black and shades of brown, add a black wool cape and felt witch's hat embellished with vintage lace and ribbon. She is carrying an orange Halloween pumpkin basket filled with goodies! Bring paper and fabric scissors, pins, needles, glue, and ruler.

Name: Booville

Instructor: Mary Barrett [email protected]

Cost: $45

In this workshop, we will be constructing “Booville”, a long-abandoned town that has been taken over by witches and ghosts. We will be building the ramshackle houses, sign, trees and the landscaping it will all sit on. A witch and ghost will be provided. The largest of these figures will be about ½″ tall, so if you want your “Booville” to fit in your 1” scale house, that will work as a small set. If you want it for a ½″ or even ¼″ scale, it will still work but will be a larger set. All supplies provided.

Name: Witch’s Hut

Instructor: Cat Wingler [email protected]

Cost: $75

Scale: ¼″

In the time honored tradition of Baba Yaga (and every fairy tale ever told), each witch’s hut is different! This witch lives in a ramshackle hut in the woods next to the graveyard. We will build, distress, and age the structure. Time permitting, we'll do a little landscaping. Bring your usual tool kit, containing assorted paint brushes, paper scissors, tweezers, tacky glue, and a gluing jig. Limit 10 students.

This vignette has a round, open two-story tower with a stairway going up the inside leading to a small balcony. Open beams over the stairs hold up the slate roof. Lead-paned windows above the stairs and on the balcony give a Gothic feel. Students will assemble the stairway, paper the interior, texture the outside with faux stonework, and install the windows. Finished size about 8″ wide by 8″ deep by 12″ high. Bring 2 dozen tiny clamps (such as hair clips) and a basic tool kit with paper scissors, tweezers, brush for wallpaper paste, and craft glue.
