Friday All Day


Nativity

Mary Barrett               $30      Any

This scene is usable in all scales or stands alone as a tiny Nativity. Students will construct the stable and landscape the scene. All figures, including animals, are provided.

 

Valentine Card Doll

Students will dress a 4" porcelain doll like a vintage Valentine card. She will be dressed in a black romper with shades of pink hearts, big ruffled eyelet collar, and a cute pink hat. There is a basket of repro Valentine cards. Bring paper and fabric scissors, pins, needles, glue, ruler, and tweezers.

 

Glitter Gingerbread Cottage

Add some glitter to your Christmas scene with this 3-room Christmas cottage, ready for you to fill with toys or sweets for a Christmas family. See photos to appreciate! Bring paint brushes, X-acto knife, glue, and your imagination.

 

Mrs. Santa's Christmas Cookie Kitchen

So this is why Santa is so chubby. Build a one-room-with-loft cottage where Mrs. Claus does her best to make delicious goodies. Can also be adapted to make a witch's kitchen—but the goodies wouldn't be as good!  ALL FURNITURE IS INCLUDED IN CLASS!!

 

Friday Morning

Merfamily of Four

Come and play, dressing, wigging, and making tails for a merfamily of four. Wire bodies will be premade for you. It will be oceans of fun. Meet again on Saturday to build a domicile for this salty family!

 

Bottlebrush Snowman

Painting by Penny

Penny Champion         $50      1"

Come hone your artistic talents painting a lovely street scene inspired by artist Barbara Applegate called “Sea Street.” Students will learn about composition and mixing colors using acrylic paints. This is a stress-free class and all supplies are provided. Bring tiny brushes if you have favorites. Your work will be framed for a finished look.

 

Beach Cottage

Come celebrate the 4th of July at the beach. Reserve this cunning cottage for the week and learn paper crafting techniques. There is a bedroom loft for the children and plenty of sunshine to brighten your days.

Holiday Tables

Select a holiday—Easter, July 4th, Halloween, or Christmas—and fill an adult and a children's table with food and decorations. 10 kits available for each holiday.

Trick or Treat Porch

The moon is full and an eerie, cool breeze wafts through the neighborhood. This little porch is decorated to welcome pint-size guests of the scary and/or fun variety. Bring a basic tool kit.

 

Shabby Chic Plant Stand

Silver Clay Frame and Tray

Come and add some sparkle to your miniature scenes. Make a silver tray and a picture frame, learning techniques of working with metal clay. Your pieces will be fired for permanence and beauty.

 

Percolator Clock Face with Holiday Scenes

Students will bash a percolator shaped clock and use this as a frame for a holiday scene, Easter or Halloween or Christmas.

Downton Kitchen

Come build a tiny replica of the kitchen where most of the action took place downstairs. Our favorite PBS series ever!

 

Elf and Sled

In this class, students will dress a 1" scale elf in either Christmas or woodsy, fall colors, your choice. He's pulling a sled with his current scavenges. You choose the outfit. Bring a basic sewing kit.

 

Night Before Christmas Storybook

In this class, students will take a Little Golden Book with “The Night Before Christmas” story and use it to make a charming scene on a base of the same theme. Bring a basic tool kit.

 

Saturday Morning

Under The Sea Domicile

All good merfamilies need a place to play and this is a perfect place. Students will build with coral and greenery and driftwood. You'll have shell furniture and 3D sea creatures to arrange but your base will be finished and the dome to protect is furnished.

 

Painting with Penny (Scenes of Monteagle)

In this class students will spend a carefree morning learning about painting in miniature. Monteagle is a place rich in architecture and you will be provided with everything to make a lovely, framed memento. Supplies furnished.

 

Mrs. Santa and 2 Elves

This class is a perfect companion to Mrs. Santa's cookie kitchen. The elves are helping by tasting, licking spoons, and generally making a mess.

 

Filled Christmas Buffet

The feast is all ready and the decorations hung. When students build this lovely, filled buffet you can almost smell the goodies. Build the buffet and goodies included will follow.

 

Nighttime Woodsy Porch

This class, scheduled last year, had to be cancelled, but was such a good idea it is being offered again. Judy's series of small scale porches are a favorite. Small creatures are lurking and there is a light feature.

 

Merlin's Magical Secret Room

A perfectly magical way to spend a Saturday morning is making a small scene in a Book entitled "Merlin's Magical Secrets." Since there isn't really such a book you will make it and include flooring paper stone walls, and furnishing (shelves, workbench, fireplace). Accessory kits to further furnish the room will be available for purchase.

Nativity

Sparkly Christmas Ornament

If you want to add some winter frosty shimmer to your Christmas tree or suspend this sweet ornament in a favorite corner this is the class for you. You will build a tiny winter scene inside the globe.


Easter Spice Tin

Winifred Holloway     $35      Small

Bunny siblings are dyeing Easter eggs. Students will paper a kitchen background scene. The kitchen table is the center of the action with the Easter eggs in progress. The scene will be framed around the opening. Bring paper scissors, glue, ruler, tweezers, paint brushed, sand paper, and miter scissors if you have them.

 

Santa Claus with a Sleigh and Rudolph

Everyone's favorite jolly Santa will be dressed to your delight. His sleigh will be filled with things for good boys and girls and Rudolph is ready to lead the way to Christmas.
